Kafka Ops from the Terminal, by You or Your AI Agent
Chad Harris, Factor House
Wed, Nov 4, 4:20–4:40 PMInnovation Theater
Most Kafka troubleshooting still means clicking through a web console or piecing together kafka-*.sh commands. Kpow, the Kafka monitoring and management platform, now ships a single binary that brings it all to the terminal: a CLI that makes any Kafka task one command, a real-time Terminal UI that mirrors the web console, and Agent Skills that let Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot do the digging for you.
This 20-minute live demo works through real problems: a consumer group falling behind, a service that stops receiving data, a failing Connect task and a backpressured Flink job. We solve each one in the TUI, then hand the same problem to a coding agent. Along the way you will see how RBAC, audit logging and approvals keep people in charge of what changes.
Stop by, watch it run, and install it before you leave the hall.
