Principal Software Practice Lead at Confluent | Apache Flink Committer and PMC member, Confluent
David is an Apache Flink Committer and PMC member. Since discovering Apache Flink in 2016, he has helped countless companies get started with stream processing. Previously, he was a consulting data engineer, designing and building data pipelines for clients with a diverse set of use cases, including search engines, machine learning, and business analytics.

Gyula Fora
Principal Software Engineer, Apple
Gyula is a Software Engineer at Apple, focusing on running and improving integration for Flink on cloud infrastructure.
He has been a PMC and contributor since the early days of Flink streaming. He has used Flink in large scale production at King for several years before joining Cloudera in 2019 to work on enterprise integration and deliver the company's first Flink distribution.
Gyula currently lives in Switzerland and in his free time enjoys traveling, scuba diving and skiing around the world. -
Robert Metzger
Principal Engineer, Confluent
Robert Metzger is a committer and PMC member at Apache Flink. Recently, he has focused on improving the deployment and operation experience of Flink, with a focus on autoscaling and generally working towards cloud native Flink.
Robert Metzger is currently a Principal Engineer at Confluent. He previously co-founded and successfully exited data Artisans (now Ververica), the company originally creating and commercializing Flink. He is a frequent speaker at conferences such as the QCon, ApacheCon and meetups around the world. -
Becket Qin
Principal Staff Software Engineer, Apache Flink® Committer, LinkedIn
Becket is currently a Principal Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn. He started to work on Apache Kafka at LinkedIn after he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. After that, he joined Alibaba and led the Flink team focusing on Flink SQL, PyFlink, Flink ML, Connectors, among others. He returned to LinkedIn in 2022 to drive the effort of stream and batch unification.
Becket is a PMC member of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
