SUMMARY:Agentic Coding For Data Streaming Engineers
LOCATION:Room 2012
DESCRIPTION:Lucia Cerchie\, Bernie Chen\n\nWhat can we outsource to AI? The
answer these days might be: pretty much everything. The question is\, sho
uld we? In this talk\, we’ll survey the AI tooling landscape\, but first
\, we’ll discuss the lenses through which we should see problems in the
AI age. Turns out critical thinking and a strong grip on abstracting compl
exity have a lot to do with using AI tooling effectively. Next\, we’ll z
oom in on some of the complexities in the data streaming space\, and try o
ut a few AI tools that can make managing data pipelines easier. We’ll al
so learn to use AI agents to make AI tools– let’s drink our own champa
gne! Come for the lessons\, stay for the zine: I’ll be handing out a cus
tom booklet on AI in the data space at the end of the talk.
